Pleasure Incorporated (2024)
Pleasure incorporated is a new play exploring escorting and childhood sexual abuse by award-winning theatremaker Jemima Foxtrot which premiered at the English Theatre Berlin in February 2024.
Pleasure Incorporated asks what it would be like if the oldest profession in the world was just a regular office job. Drawn from Jemima's experience of escorting in Berlin, this lyrical one-woman show fuses live performance with video art to explore her personal motivations for selling sex; what it means for her to do the work, and how that spools out into friendships, relationships and society.

The second reason why this opera is remembered, is the animation (created by Maja Zagórska and two assistants). [...] It gives the performance atmosphere and content. The fact that these paintings begin to move completes the image.
